Following our acquisition of land to the south of Saxmundham earlier this year, Pigeon is pleased to advise that a planning application has now been submitted, validated by East Suffolk Council (DC/26/1490/OUT), and is live for consultation.

The 161-acre site, including land allocated in the East Suffolk Local Plan, will deliver around 800 new homes, employment space, roadside services, land for a new primary school and pre-schools, community hub, extensive green infrastructure, enhanced walking and cycling connections, all supported by associated infrastructure and a new junction on the A12.

This marks an important milestone in realising the vision for the Saxmundham Garden Neighbourhood, creating new homes, jobs, schooling, a vibrant community hub, segregated walking and cycling links and extensive green spaces for current and future generations.

Thank you to East Suffolk Council, Suffolk County Council, Saxmundham Town Council, Benhall and Sternfield Parish Council, and all stakeholders who have helped shape the proposals to date.
