Pigeon is pleased to report that West Suffolk Council’s Development Control Committee has unanimously resolved to grant planning for their proposals for up to 160 new homes north of Mount Road, Bury St Edmunds. This site is allocated in the West Suffolk Local Plan.

The proposals will deliver a balanced mix of homes, including 40% affordable housing and 10% custom/self-build plots, meeting a clear local housing need, alongside over 40% of the site as green infrastructure, including public open space, play areas, and walking and cycling routes. The approval is also underpinned by significant investment in local infrastructure, secured through Section 106 contributions, including schools, healthcare, highways and early years provision.
