Pigeon has submitted a planning application for Burlingham Mill and adjacent land off Station Hill, Bury St Edmunds. The planning application is for forty-two new homes, including conversion of the nineteenth century mill to fourteen flats, and twenty-four new build flats and four mews houses on the neighbouring land.
The dwellings will provide an attractive range of options for prospective residents of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom properties.
Hugh French, Project Manager at Pigeon said,
“We have been preparing this application for over a year and are really pleased to have now submitted it. Burlingham Mill provides a key feature of the recently adopted Station Hill Masterplan and we are aware of its importance within the context of regenerating the Station Hill area. We have consulted heavily with St Edmundsbury and local groups and have looked to submit a high quality scheme which retains the character of the Mill building, whilst also bringing the adjacent land back in use.”
