Pigeon Investment Management Ltd has set up Cambridge Power Ltd to assist in the development of Energy Projects to support its two core business activities: Land Promotion and Investment in commercial property.
The Energy Projects Team develops new opportunities to locate battery energy storage systems and solar parks at strategic locations on the UK electricity grid network as both stand alone and supporting opportunities for the Pigeon core businesses.
This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified surveyor or intern to join the Energy Projects Team, assisting in their development activities. The candidate will initially support the existing team members consisting of Giles Hanglin, CEO Designate; Richard and Will Stanton, founding Directors of Pigeon; and Ed Lowe and Emma Butler within the Land Team, with the opportunity to progress their career with the growth of the business.
The successful candidate will play a significant role in the business to increase Pigeon and Cambridge Power’s capacity to evaluate opportunities, manage transactions, and deliver projects.
This work will involve, amongst many other things the following:
Working with the directors and existing team to identify and secure new projects.
Identifying landowners with opportunities and negotiating and securing grid application supporting information and Heads of Terms to assist in securing an Option and draft Lease.
Instructing and working alongside lawyers to secure Option and draft Lease.
Working alongside the Pigeon Planning Team and having input into planning applications.
Development management tasks including the appointment and supervision of professional service firms and consultants.
Working with the land appraisal tools and technology available to assist in delivering the projects, including LandInsight.
