Pigeon held its annual Charity Football Tournament last Thursday raising a record total for its two chosen Suffolk-based charities, Fresh Start New Beginnings, and Rural Coffee Caravan.
The 6-a-side football tournament saw twelve local teams from across the housebuilding and property industry compete to win the ‘Golden Pigeon’ trophy. The fast-paced, mixed tournament resulted in Redrow Homes being crowned champions following a gripping penalty shoot-out. All teams donated a charitable fee to enter and took part in a post tournament raffle. Pigeon matched the money raised bringing the total to £4,000.
Pigeon Chairman, James Buxton said: “Pigeon would like to thank the Bury St Edmunds business community for donating so many fantastic raffle prizes and all 12 teams for their enthusiasm, commitment and efforts throughout the afternoon. The tournament is a great opportunity for employees within the industry to support two fantastic Suffolk charities.”
