Contracts have been exchanged for the sale of the first phase of housing land to Hopkins Homes. The land includes 343 plots, a commercial centre and extensive open space. An application for approval of reserved matters will be submitted within the next few weeks, and construction of new houses is expected to commence in Spring 2018. This is the first phase in a high quality, mixed use scheme which will include up to 5,000 houses, 50 acres of commercial development, three primary schools, community facilities and landscaped open space. The land is owned by The Crown and Kilverstone Estates, on whose behalf Pigeon has been promoting the development scheme for the past six years.
