Pigeon has identified 40 sites in the eastern region to develop as green business parks. A Waste for Energy Park will facilitate the production of renewable energy using the most appropriate technology and supply the energy to other users either on the site or to neighbouring occupiers, the surplus being sold to the national grid.
Pigeon will provide the site, planning, grid connection and access to feedstock. Five sites have been fast-tracked and will be producing energy in 2010.
